America on the World Stage Teaching American History Grant Project
America on the World Stage Teaching American History Grant was a three year project (2009-12) that brought the book of the same name to life through a series of interactive lectures, hands-on workshops, research and curriculum design, and summer travel courses.
Media Orange entered into a long term partnership with the TAH grant team. A web site was developed which featured an extensive searchable digital library of the instructional kits produced by the teacher scholars participating in the grant activities. Though this library, these instructional kits are available to site members.
As another feature of the site, Media Orange developed an automated registration process through which teachers from the participating Central Virginia school systems could register for the various lectures and activities sponsored by the AOTWS team.
When the Teaching American History Grant program ended in 2012, Albemarle County Public Schools, Virginia moved the site to it’s web site. Click here to view the current version which is maintained by Albemarle County Public Schools.
